My research focuses on inherited and degenerative disorders of the nervous system and includes phenotype analysis, identifying genes that cause these conditions, and developing and analyzing mouse and stem cell derived neuronal models of these conditions. We are investigating the use of AI-facilitated wearable sensors for serial analysis of motor performance of affected subjects to describe the natural history of these conditions and to develop novel, personalized rehabilitation strategies.
