My research integrates genetics, genomics, and synovial fibroblast biology to uncover the molecular drivers of glenohumeral osteoarthritis (GH OA). Using large-scale GWAS and single-cell/spatial transcriptomics, I aim to identify risk variants and tissue-specific gene expression profiles linked to cartilage degeneration. Another focus is investigating synovial fibroblast‑macrophage crosstalk and its role in joint fibrosis and destruction, with mechanistic in vitro validation. This multi-omics approach aims to enable genetic risk stratification and shoulder‑specific precision therapies for GH OA.
