Immersive human-centered systems for smart manufacturing

Outdoor portrait of a woman in a tan blazer.

My research focuses on the design and integration of immersive, intelligent, and connected systems for human-centered applications in design, training, and digital-twin-enabled manufacturing. I develop interactive systems that combine extended reality, artificial intelligence, and Internet of Things technologies. These systems bridge physical and virtual environments to support skill learning, decision-making, and collaboration in complex, real-world settings.

As a Human-Centered AI researcher, I investigate how multimodal interaction can be captured, interpreted, and leveraged to create adaptive and intuitive user experiences. My work emphasizes the externalization of interaction and process knowledge, enabling systems to represent, learn from, and respond to human actions in meaningful ways.
