Dr. Caitlin Stamatis
Clinical Psychologist; Head of Research, Slingshot AI
Bio
Dr. Caitlin Stamatis is a clinical psychologist who has spent the past decade leading behavioral health research at companies including Google, Akili Interactive Labs, and Otsuka. As Slingshot AI’s Head of Research, she oversees evidence generation on the safety and efficacy of the first foundation large language model (LLM) for psychology.
Dr. Stamatis’s work spans two landmark prescription digital therapeutics: Akili’s Endeavor for ADHD and Otsuka’s Rejoyn for depression. At Akili, her team developed a novel biomarker of cognitive functioning from passively sensed digital therapeutic data, validated in Translational Psychiatry and commercialized as the Focus Score. She has served on the adjunct faculty at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine and holds leadership roles in several digital medicine organizations, including with the Society for Digital Mental Health.
Dr. Stamatis earned her BA in psychology from Columbia University, followed by a Fulbright fellowship. She holds a PhD in clinical psychology and completed her residency at Weill Cornell Medicine.
