While applications of computer science and data science had significant impact on our lives and society, computer science education tended to focus only on the technical aspects. Ethics was sometimes incorporated into the Computer Science curriculum, but typically in a stand-alone course that students did not take until close to the end of their program. My project focused on developing an approach to incorporating ethics and justice throughout the entire Computer Science curriculum, drawing on scholarship in public policy, science and technology studies, and the humanities to ground the approach.
