Abstract

This session explores how researchers can critically and effectively use generative AI tools to support and enhance the literature review process. Participants will engage hands-on with models such as NotebookLM and Perplexity to assess their ability to identify, summarize, and synthesize scholarly information. Through guided exercises, attendees will evaluate each tool’s strengths and limitations, reflect on issues of accuracy, bias, and validity, and develop a more rigorous and informed approach to integrating GenAI tools into their scholarly discovery and review workflows.
