Calder Sheagren received their S.B. in Mathematics with Honors from the University of Chicago and Ph.D in Medical Biophysics from the University of Toronto. Calder moved to the University of Michigan in 2025 to begin their postdoctoral research in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the heart, including quantitative magnetic resonance fingerprinting (MRF). Calder’s research interests include quantitative 3D MRI of the heart, motion correction of quantitative MRI data, and artifact-robust MRI of the heart. As a MIDAS postdoctoral affiliate, Calder will study joint deep learning-based motion correction and image reconstruction of cardiac MRF data.
