Aims

  • Learn together, support each other, have fun
  • Build a culture conducive to learning at different skills and knowledge levels
  • Focus on ideas, concepts, and high-level tools that build foundational knowledge

Mechanism

  • The reading group will meet every two months
  • Member-led: each meeting is coordinated by a few volunteer participants. Coordinating members select the materials to read and discuss (book chapters, papers, video presentations, etc). Coordinating members will also provide support and lead group discussion at each meeting.
  • Reading materials should be available via U-M library or freely accessible online
