While applications of computer science and data science have significant impact on our lives and society, computer science education tends to focus only on the technical aspects. Ethics is sometimes incorporated into the Computer Science curriculum, but typically in a stand alone course that students do not take until close to the end of their program. My project focuses on developing an approach to incorporating ethics and justice throughout the entire Computer Science curriculum, drawing on scholarship in public policy, science and technology studies, and the humanities to ground the approach.
