Student Organizations Council

MIDAS helps build a strong network for data science and AI student groups on our campus, through working with the MIDAS Student Organizations Council. This group represents students in a broad spectrum of schools, colleges, programs, majors, and degree levels, embracing both undergraduate and graduate students. The council shares research and career opportunities, promotes the student organizations’ events, and collaborate and share resources among the organizations. The council will also design impactful data science and AI education activities and research programming, including events that promote diversity and inclusion within the data science and AI fields.

As members of the Council, these groups will also liaise and coordinate with MIDAS, connect with MIDAS affiliate faculty, industry contacts, and more. We cordially invite all data science and AI student groups on campus to connect with MIDAS and join in making a significant impact on our university’s data science and AI landscape. For inquiries, please contact Beth Uberseder, MIDAS Research Manager (ubersbe@umich.edu).
