Help students in BSI Capstone for School of Information

Get paid for downloading an app!

As part of the BSI capstone project, a student team in the School of Information (Erin Neaton, Thomas Bautista, Sami Herzog, Sean Yoon) is building a sentiment analysis tool for a company called UBDI (Universal Basic Data Income).  The team will analyze the mood, music, and fitness of Michigan students around events like Game Day, Finals, breaks etc!  The team is seeking help from fellow U-M students to get a larger dataset. Follow the instructions in the attached image including entering custom tag UMICH and get paid up to $14! You must contribute two of the following sources to get paid: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Spotify, Garmin, or Fitbit.  It is simple and quick.

For questions, please email the students or shake the app to talk to UBDI support.

UBDI also has other data sources like Pinterest, financial transactions, and will soon be adding Apple Health. They are open to more research projects and will be hiring data scientists soon. If you have some ideas or this company is of interest to you, you can contact dana@ubdi.com.
