2020 Michigan Student Symposium for Interdisciplinary Statistical Sciences (MSSISS)
February 27 @ 8:00 am - February 28 @ 5:00 pm
The 2020 Michigan Student Symposium for Interdisciplinary Statistical Sciences (MSSISS) will be held on Thursday, February 27 – Friday, February 28 at the University of Michigan. We are currently looking for student abstract submissions for oral presentations, speed oral + poster presentations, and poster presentations. The abstract submission deadline is Friday, January 24, and abstracts can be submitted on the website: https://sites.lsa.umich.edu/mssiss/abstracts/. There will be several cash prizes awarded to the best presentations!
MSSISS is an annual event with the goal of encouraging communication across related fields of statistical science and promoting interdisciplinary research among graduate students and faculty. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduate students to present their research on statistical methods or applications, receive feedback, and build connections. We are also fortunate to have Professor Sophia Rabe-Hasketh from the University of California – Berkeley and Assistant Professor Yang Chen from the University of Michigan as the keynote speakers.
Registration for the symposium is free, and all students are encouraged to submit abstracts and register on the MSSISS website: https://sites.lsa.umich.edu/mssiss/. Please note that the abstract deadline is January 24.
