I was trained as a survey methodologist and involved in the design, data collection, data processing, and weighting of health surveys. I am deeply interested in how the quality of data affects its intended purpose. I joined the Data Science for Dynamic Intervention Decision Making Center (d3c) at the Institute for Social Research. Here, I expanded my focus on data quality from surveys to the realm of mobile health (mHealth), particularly in the context of randomized trials that contribute to the development of digital interventions.

I am inspired to enhance both the scientific utility and participant experiences of self-monitoring in mHealth interventions. My goal is to integrate scientific principles of data collection with AI tools, such as reinforcement learning algorithms, to develop computerized measurement tools.
