Nathaniel Geiger

Assistant Professor of Environment and Sustainability, School for Environment and Sustainability

Nathaniel Geiger is an assistant professor in the Behavior, Education and Communication specialization. He joined SEAS from Indiana University, where he was an assistant professor of communication science at The Media School. Geiger conducts experimental and survey research in lab, field and online settings that examines how people become motivated and empowered to take action on climate change and other environmental issues and uses quantitative methods to analyze cross-sectional and longitudinal data. More broadly, his research interests include environmental communication, climate change, public engagement, social psychology, science communication and political psychology.
