The Education and Training Subcommittee is responsible for developing the MIDAS education mission, and oversees the institute’s education and training activities.

Current priorities are to:

  • Expand the Rackham Data Science Certificate program
  • Launch a graduate program in data science (M.S. and Ph.D.)
  • Develop online learning curricula for Graduate Certificate, M.S., and Ph.D. programs in Data Science
  • Develop undergraduate outreach and education activities
  • Coordinate boot-camps, short courses, and student workshops
  • Interface with communications subcommittee for publicizing programs
  • Implement Claude Shannon and Tukey Graduate Fellowship Programs
